Our Plan

Labor is fighting for working people.

New Premier, new direction

Ben Carroll is a new Premier, taking Victoria in a new direction.

Integrity is not optional

Our first action was to call a Royal Commission into the construction sector, and it is already up and running.

Respecting taxpayer money

That’s why we have made billions in savings by delaying projects stopping unnecessary government spending.

Community safety

That’s why we are hiring 1500 more police and giving them the powers they need.

What matters most

Labor is fighting for working people on the issues that matter most:

Protecting our health system

With 12 new hospitals and hiring 17,000 extra health workers.

Investing in education

With 121 new schools, free TAFE, the best-paid teachers and nation-leading NAPLAN results.

Delivering real cost of living relief

With free dental care for every Victorian, cheaper public transport and tax cuts.

This election is a choice.

Between Labor’s plan to fight for working people, or the Liberal-One Nation coalition plan to cut services and hurt everyday Victorians.

Royal Commission into the Construction Sector

Labor is delivering a Royal Commission supported by a special prosecutor and stronger IBAC follow the money powers, to uncover misconduct on building sites and make sure it never happens again.

Free dental for all Victorians

Labor will open new public dental clinics, including three in regional Victoria, providing free check-ups and treatment for adults and children, without needing an appointment.

Hiring more police for the frontline

Labor will recruit an additional 1,500 police, to keep our communities safe. That’s on top of an additional 200 PSOs and 400 reservists, to free up more police for the frontline.

Fixing potholes and improving local roads

Labor is doubling pothole repairs and put government back in charge of road maintenance, while improving major and local roads across Victoria.

Investing in health and protecting our hospitals

Labor has recruited thousands more nurses, doctors and health workers, helping treat more than 210,000 additional Victorians each year and reducing waits in emergency.

Capping tolls at $30 a week

Labor’s toll cap could save drivers up to $5,000 per vehicle in 2027, covering CityLink, EastLink and the West Gate Tunnel.

Investing in education and teachers

Labor has built 121 new schools and upgraded thousands more, delivered nation-leading NAPLAN results, and the highest paid teachers in Australia.

Building 25,000 homes for first home buyers

Labor will build more than 25,000 houses, townhouses and apartments reserved for Victorian first home buyers.

Capping public transport at $30 a week

Labor’s fare cap will save regular commuters more than $1,400 a year, with concession fares capped at $15 a week.

Cutting land tax to save families money

Labor will reverse the 2023 changes to land tax thresholds, removing more than 250,000 Victorians from the land tax system and saving them thousands of dollars.

Free kinder

We’ve made early learning free for 3- and 4-year olds, to give every child the best start in life.
