Sarah Witty

Sarah Witty was elected in 2025 as the Federal Member for Melbourne.
Before entering Parliament, Sarah led a diverse career rooted in community service, business, and social justice.
She has served as the CEO of The Nappy Collective, a grassroots charity delivering nappies to families in need. She also held a senior role with Homes for Homes, a social enterprise that helped raise more than $110 million for social and affordable housing.Her background also includes working in the private sector—in insurance, banking, and small business ownership.
A longtime Richmond resident of more than 20 years, and a foster carer of more than 10 years, Sarah has seen firsthand the challenges facing families and communities across inner-Melbourne.
In Parliament, her priorities include ensuring affordable housing, strengthening Medicare and health access, supporting children and families in vulnerable situations, and addressing cost-of-living pressures.
