Matt Gregg

Matt Gregg was elected to Federal Parliament as the Member for Deakin in May 2025.

He is a lawyer and a former school teacher, who lives in Ringwood and has called Deakin home for over a decade.

As a former educator, Matt has spent a good part of my life listening to families’ needs and figuring out what needs to be done to create a future that young people can be excited about.

It means fighting for cost-of-living relief, accessible and affordable childcare and cutting HECS Debt fees.

That’s what Labor stands for – and it’s why Matt put his hand up to run for Parliament.Matt is a big believer in ensuring everyone gets a fair go and is passionate about advocating for the people of Deakin.
