John Lister

John was first elected to the Legislative Assembly as the Member for Werribee in February 2025.

John is a committed local who grew up in Werribee. He was school captain at MacKillop College, and volunteered with many community groups.

This is John's home, and it’s an honour to give back to the place that helped him become the person he is.

As a former school teacher, John saw firsthand the pressures affecting local families in Werribee.

John knows there is more work to do and Labor has a real plan to support our growing community, deliver better healthcare, and support families with cost-of-living help that make a real difference.

John is a life-long local who will fight for Werribee on the issues that matter most: community safety, cost of living, health, schools and our local roads.
