Alessandra Soliven

Alessandra Soliven is a proud Pakenham local and first-generation migrant determined to stand up for working people and families.  

After migrating from the Philippines with her family, she settled in Melbourne’s outer southeastern suburbs. Her upbringing has instilled in her the values of hard work, aspiration and community – values she still carries today.

With her mum working as a nurse, Alessandra knows how vital, accessible, high-quality healthcare is for local families. She remembers the long hours and the tough work our nurses go through every day.

As the first in her family to graduate from university, she knows the importance of a strong public education system. That’s why she’s determined to back better schools, more nurses and more secure jobs – so every family in Pakenham has the chance to get ahead.
