Planning a Safer Johnstone Street Intersection

22 October 2026

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $3 million to plan for traffic signals at the Johnstone Street and Broadmeadows Road intersection.

Right now, the intersection is only controlled by stop signs on Johnstone Street – making it hard to get in and out, especially at peak times.

That’s why Labor will plan for traffic signals to improve safety for everyone who uses the intersection.

Labor knows local communities deserve safe, well-connected local roads.

That’s why Labor is backing safety upgrades on the roads locals use every day.

A Liberal-One Nation Coalition Government would cut them.
