Labor Will Upgrade the Mernda Community Hospital
A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will expand the Mernda Community Hospital.
Labor’s $44.7 million investment will make it easier for the community to access specialist health services and ease pressure on the Northern Hospital.
The investment means:
• Around 45 more doctors, nurses and health professionals will work at the hospital
• The number of available beds will double
• The hospital will be open seven days a week, 8am-8pm.
• 15,000 more patients a year will get care closer to home.
Only Labor can stop Liberal-One Nation health cuts
Labor built the Mernda Community Hospital, and now we’re expanding it.
It’s one of 12 new hospitals Labor has built.
The Liberals closed 12 hospitals.
They’ll cut even more under a Liberal-One Nation Coalition, making $40 billion in cuts and Americanising our health care system.
