Local Commitment

Delivering Upgrades at Westmeadows War Memorial

26 October 2026

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $200,000 to deliver paving, seating, planting and lighting upgrades at the Westmeadows War Memorial.

This means a fitting place for locals to gather and remember.

The Westmeadows War Memorial is an important local monument, first erected in the years following World War I.

It records the names of those from the original community of Broadmeadows and district who gave their lives in the two World Wars.

It serves as a focal point for commemoration, with hundreds gathering each year to remember the service and sacrifice of veterans at the annual ANZAC Dawn Service.

Labor knows we must honour those who served.
