Delivering a New Ambulance Station for Smythesdale

03 October 2026

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $7.1 million to deliver a new ambulance branch in Smythesdale.

Smythesdale and Ballarat’s outer west are growing – and locals need an ambulance station to service the community.

That’s why Labor will deliver $7.1 million for a new ambulance station to serve Smythesdale and surrounding areas.

The new station will benefit communities across the Golden Plains Shire and the City of Ballarat.

And it means paramedics will be based closer to the growing communities they serve, in the modern facilities they deserve.

Labor knows how important emergency services are to growing regional communities.

That’s why Labor is backing our paramedics with a new ambulance station in Smythesdale.

It’s all at risk under a Liberal-One Nation Coalition Government who will cut the vital healthcare services regional Victorians rely on.

Quotes attributable to Minister for Ambulance Services Ingrid Stitt

"This new ambulance station will give our paramedics the facilities they deserve and support them in delivering world-class emergency care."

Quotes attributable to Member for Ripon Martha Haylett

"There is currently no ambulance station between Sebastopol and Skipton.”

“This new station will save lives and make sure people in Smythesdale, Scarsdale, Haddon and Linton can get help from an ambo sooner.”
