Better, Safer Local Roads for Hoppers Crossing

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will upgrade the Hogans Road and Derrimut Road intersection so locals in Hoppers Crossing and Tarneit can get around faster.

This intersection is one of the busiest roundabouts in Wyndham.

The roundabout causes traffic congestion and is risky for pedestrians to cross.

Labor will fix that.

If re-elected Labor will invest $90 million to replace the roundabout with a signalised intersection – cutting congestion and improving traffic flow.

It will be safer for motorists and pedestrians.

Planning for these upgrades would begin in 2027 and construction would start within the next term.

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will also upgrade Point Cook Road, Taylors Road, and the Ballan Road and Bolton Road intersection – slashing congestion and boosting safety across Melbourne’s west.

What we are doing right now

We are doubling the number of potholes filled this year, from 250,000 to 500,000.

Building on the Albanese Government’s existing $1 billion investment, we will invest a further $550 million to upgrade the Western Freeway – improving safety and reducing congestion.

Victorians know they can’t trust Liberals on roads.

They cut funding from our roads the last time they were in power.

Under the Liberal-One Nation Coalition’s $40 billion cuts plan, they will do it again.
