A Better Skipson Recreation Reserve for Ripon

30 September 2026

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $2.35 million to deliver new changerooms at Skipton Recreation Reserve, Skipton.

The current changerooms no longer meet the needs of today’s players and volunteers – particularly women and girls.

That’s why Labor will back the local council to deliver new women’s changerooms, supporting local clubs and the community for years to come.

Home of the Skipton Football Netball Club and Skipton Cricket Club, these works will create the facilities that meet their needs.

Skipton Recreation Reserve is the heart of the community – hosting local sport, community dinners and events, and welcoming hundreds of spectators at home games.

Labor knows our local clubs in the regions are meaningful places for the community – they provide a social space where members, supporters and volunteers come together.

That’s why Labor is backing upgrades that will help everyone of all ages get involved in community sport.

Only a re-elected Labor Government will ensure that community sports clubs have the facilities they need. While under the Liberal-One Nation coalition, community sport will suffer as part of their $40 billion in cuts.
