A Better, Safer Findon Road for Locals in Epping

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will upgrade Findon Rd to cut congestion and improve safety for locals.

Findon Rd helps working people get to schools, work and home.

But we have heard from locals that it’s not as safe as it should be.

It has become a hot-spot for accidents and near misses – and it’s congested.

If re-elected, Labor will invest $270 million to upgrade 3.6km of Findon Rd in Epping – from Epping Rd to Civic Dr – to make the road safer and reduce congestion.

We will double the number of lanes from two to four and upgrade key intersections to improve safety and keep people moving.

Planning for the upgrade would begin early next year and construction would start next term.

We can afford it because we have made commonsense decisions, like saving $2 billion on the SRL and $100 million on public service executive numbers.

We are also doubling the number of potholes filled this year, from 250,000 to 500,000.

Victorians know they can’t trust Liberals on roads.

They cut funding from roads the last time they were in power. 

Under the Liberal-One Nation Coalition’s $40 billion cuts plan, they will do it again.
