Local Commitment

A Better Edithvale Common for Mordialloc

01 October 2026

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $2.5 million to support upgrades to the pavilion and ground at Edithvale Common, Edithvale.

The current pavilion and field no longer meet the needs of today’s players.

That’s why Labor will back the local council to deliver a redeveloped Edithvale Common Pavilion and a resurfacing of the ground, improving facilities for local clubs and the community for years to come.

Home of the growing Chelsea Soccer Club, these works will create facilities that better meet their needs.

With hundreds of locals playing the game and growing participation of women and girls, this upgrade will back them in.

Labor knows our local clubs are more than just about the game – they’re about community. And as our local clubs grow, they provide a place where members, supporters and volunteers come together.

That’s why Labor is backing upgrades that will help everyone of all ages get involved in community sport.

Only a re-elected Labor Government will ensure that community sports clubs have the facilities they need. While under the Liberal-One Nation coalition, community sport will suffer as part of their $40 billion in cuts.
