A Better Bruce Park Reserve for Frankston

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $3 million to help deliver a brand-new sporting pavilion at Bruce Park Reserve.

The current pavilion is more than 30 years old and no longer works for today's players and volunteers.

That’s why Labor will back the local council to redevelop the ageing pavilion into a modern, accessible facility to support local clubs and the community for years to come.

The new two-storey pavilion will bring together four local clubs under one roof:

• Frankston Rovers Junior Football Club

• Heatherhill Football Club

• Heatherhill Cricket Club

• Bruce Park Tennis Club

Together, these clubs are home to more than 1,000 members and support a growing local community of around 19,000 residents.

The current facility was also built at a time when sport was largely designed around men's participation.

That’s why the redevelopment will deliver modern change rooms, multipurpose community spaces and accessible amenities that support football, cricket and tennis.

That helps everyone of all ages get involved in community sport, safely.

The upgraded pavilion will also include public facilities for other users of the reserve.

The $10 million project would be jointly funded by Frankston City Council, the Australian Government and the Victorian Government.
